You should be using drivers for what ever audio interface you are using. I dont use the Multimix for playback so my setup may be different to yours but it works. The Mulimix mix main outs are going to my sound card and to get the led meters working I use the "mix to ctrl room" switch. I dont have the echo problem when I select input monitoring. I have the same Multmix as you and all my recording programs work, that is with no or very low latency. We3nt into sonar's preferences and fooled with latency and output settings no luck. Extra info: I installed sonar a year after installing my drivers for alesis multimix, not sure if thats causing problems. I've read a ton of stuff about turn off direct monitoring but no descriptions of how to do it with my mixer or if that's my problem. but once I hit Input/Echo in sonar there's a delay even w/o efx from guitar rig. I can't figure out which routing buttons to push on mixer (i.e' 2tk to mix/2 tk to ctrl rm/ mix to crtl rm) I can hear dry signal fine. I am hearing a latency issue with the effect. I've spent 3 days on line trying to figure it out with no luck. recording fine but I'm trying to use guitar rig 4 with recording. I got a version off Sonar X1 and would love to start using it instead of cubase. Hello, I am extremely new to home recording! I also have the Alesis Multimix 8 USB 2.0. It lets you record and playback audio from your computer or your iOS device.Help with alesis multimix and sonar X1, latency issue, direct monitoring
